Earth Day is important…to raise consciousness about protecting the natural world around us. It is important for appreciating many of our natural resource such as having clean water, fresh fruit and fresh vegetable every day. These are small elements that are especially more important for poor countries. Because compared to developed countries, these are the elements that will determine how people live and support their daily meals.
How can each of us protect our Earth…I think it’s a good idea for many government, particularly local government, to encourage everyday green activities. Water preservation, recycling, water conservation, and recycled paper usage are just a few examples to name. New York City, I believe, is a good city example in which I hope to see more of such green activities.
