Numerous of young people as well as their parents come to Ms. Huang He for psychological counseling and call her "intimate sister," "spiritual angel" affectionately. The major news media in Dalian city regard her as the authority on the study of adolescent psychological problems.  She became a recognized public spokeswoman for psychological counseling. She is now the director of the Huang He Psychological Counseling Center in Dalian and is the eighth Top Ten Outstanding Youths of Dalian City. 

众多的青少年家长找她进行心理咨询，并亲切地称她为“知心姐姐”、“心灵天使”；更令同行羡慕不已的是，大连市各大新闻媒体把她当作研究青少年心理问题的权威，请她点评热点，她由此成为市民公认的心理咨询代言人。她就是第八届大连市“十大杰出青年”、大连黄鹤心理咨询中心主任黄鹤。

黄鹤是从一名大学生自主创业起步的。她靠惊人的毅力和对事业执著的追求，经过多年打拼，目前黄鹤心理咨询中心已经拥有7家分店,二十几名咨询师，累计已成功咨询指导10000多人次，还为社会培养了大量的心理咨询人才，在自身发展的同时，也创造了巨大的社会效益。

Ms. Huang started her own business as a university student. With striking perseverance and pursuit of her desired career, Ms. Huang has developed Huang He Counseling Center into seven branches with more than 20 psychological consultants, has successfully counseled more than 10,000 cases, and has cultivated a large number of psychological counselors. The center created huge social benefits.

很荣幸，我们邀请到了黄鹤女士作为我们VSFS项目12月份的“平民外交家”，随着对她的采访的进行，我渐渐被她那创业的艰辛和无私奉献的精神感染了。

We VSFS team are very pleased to have invited Ms. Huang as an Everyday Diplomat for December, I was inspired by her hardships and her spirit of selfless dedication.

黄鹤说，如果她没有进入心理咨询这个行业，她会义无反顾地选择从事临床医学专业。用自己的专业知识和努力工作换来别人的身心健康，这是她一直以来的目标。母亲对她说，很多行业都需要讨好领导和拉关系，唯有做一名医生会相对简化。就是哪一天谁都不理你、甚至瞧不起你，也不要紧，只要好好给患者看病，患者尊重你喜欢你就行了。

Ms. Huang said that if she hadn't stepped into the field of psychological counseling, she would not hesitate to choose to engage in clinical medicine. Her goal has always to exchange expertise and hard work for other people's physical and mental health.  Ms. Huang’s mother told her that in many industries you need to curry favor with the leadership and cultivate working relationships, but as a doctor, you can do your work without having to depend on “guan xi,” knowing the right people. It doesn't matter if one day everyone just ignored you, or even despise you, as long as you give proper medical care to patients, patients will respect you and like you and that's all.

这朴实的话语使我对这位母亲产生了极大的敬意，心理咨询师在某种程度上来说也是医生。黄鹤希望通过自己的治疗，能够让更多的人了解心理健康和人际交往的常识，进而影响他们的家庭，甚至于整个社会。

These simple words made me Had a tremendous respect for her mother.To some extent,a psychological consultant is also a doctor. Huang He hoped that she could make more people know about mental health and interpersonal common sense through her treatment, thereby affect their families, and even society as a whole.

自主创业的经历对于一个年轻的女孩子来说必定是艰辛的，先是要协调家人和有关部门对这个行业的不信任，又由于工作时间不规律，学习任务繁多，作息时间紊乱而险些影响了工作热情和家庭关系。但黄鹤并没有因为自己是一个女孩子而减少自信和退缩，而是积极地想到自己的性别在咨询关系中会更有亲和感的优势。她的这种乐观的态度也感染了我，“有什么样的想法就有什么样的生活；有什么样的想法就有什么样的未来”。我不由得在心里也默默地祝福这位大姐姐，越走越好。

As a university student, Ms. Huang encountered many challenges.  She had to overcome family members’ distrust and coordinate with relevant departments in this field.  She also faced numerous learning tasks and irregular working hours, which had affected her relationship with her family.  But Ms. Huang did not shrink from these challenges nor lose her self-confidence.  She felt that by being a woman, she has the intuition for counseling. Her optimistic attitude was infectious. "The kind of ideas you have can lead to the kind of life you live; the kind of ideas you have can lead to the kind of future you will have." I could not help thinking quietly in my heart that this young woman will move farther and better in her life. 

黄鹤有一种做志愿者的情结，她自己说这可能是一种自我满足吧。近几年，她做的免费心理讲座近百场，听众过万人，在社会上引起了强烈反响。她义务地为大连的很多中小学，还有公安机关、社会福利机构以及基层街道担任心理顾问。她多次带领咨询中心的员工到敬老院、孤儿院以及其他社会福利机构义务咨询和慰问，累计义务奉献3000多小时，并积极捐款、捐物。

Ms. Huang constantly volunteers her time and efforts in her community. She said that volunteering gives her satisfaction. In recent years, she gave nearly a hundred psychology lectures for free.  She is the psychological consultant for many primary and middle schools, public security institutions, social welfare institutions, and sub-districts in Dalian. She has led the staff of Psychological Counseling Center to conduct voluntary counseling in senior citizen homes, orphanages, and other social welfare agencies, and she has contributed more than 3000 hours of counseling for free.

黄鹤是一个极具爱心的成功女性。她认为：和谐社会首先应该是一个充满爱心的社会，和谐社会迫切需要爱心的支撑。心理咨询界有条不成文的规矩——时间就是效益。若按行规估算，几年来她为公益活动耗费的时间应该超过十几万元人民币。她用她的行动，打消了外界对本行业的误解，因为在她心目的价值取向中，社会效益永远大于经济效益。

Huang is a very kind and successful woman. Ms. Huang said, “First of all, a harmonious society should be a caring society; a harmonious society requires the support of love. There is an unwritten rule in the psychological counseling profession - time is a benefit.” The hours she had spent on public service activities should cost more than a dozen million yuan, but in her mind the social benefit is always greater than the economic benefits.

作为一位自主创业的大学生，黄鹤认为，多一份社会责任，多一份对大连的热爱，珍惜荣誉，多一份归属感，起码使自己能提高一些觉悟，从而做个优秀公民、做一名优秀操守和业务能力的咨询师、做个好的团队带头人甚至行业的领军者，都是被自然而然地激发和鞭策的。

As an independent entrepreneurial college student, Ms. Huang believes that the more social responsibility you have, the more love and sense of belonging to Dalian you have, and the higher your awareness will be. These are words of encouragement for being a good citizen, a capable consultant, a good team leader, and an industry leader.

而定期的政协提案的征集，也是给了黄鹤一种话语权和社会责任，引领着自己多去想事情、多去做好事，起码没有时间和理由去做坏事。所以公益活动更是一个陶冶自己和完善人格的课堂，是用不管有人知道或无人知道的方式，净化自己的灵魂。是一种美丽的偏得。

A regular collection of CPPCC proposals gives Ms. Huang a sense of social responsibility to speak. To her, public service activities in a classroom can build character and purify souls.

黄鹤感慨道：“照比很多需要帮助的个人和家庭，我们是非常幸运的；照比那些慷慨相助的诸多慈善人士，我们的所作的所谓公益又是多么微薄。能够热心和投身公益是一种幸运，一种幸福！”

Ms. Huang said, "Compared to those of many individuals and families in need of help, we are very fortunate; compared to the generosity of those of many charitable people, the so-called public service we do are so little. We are lucky to be able to devote ourselves to the service of the public!

对于志愿者工作，不怕做不好，就怕你不做。

能够管好自己是本分，能够帮助别人是价值。

我们可能没有能力去做惊天动地的大事，如果通过一份努力和奉献，给一些需要帮助的人能够帮助到的力量，就是大事；能够使更多的人愿意和积极参与公益事业，是每个年轻人应该绑定的情怀。

In volunteer work, it is better to fail than to not have tried at all.

To behave well in society is a duty; to help others is a value.

We may not have the ability to do something earth-shattering, but if we can help those in need by even a small amount, it is a big event to us. Every young person should try to be more involved in public welfare.

从一个自主创业成功的女性角度，黄鹤有一些话要送给女孩子们：

女孩子要自视高贵。

欢喜和积极是女孩子高贵的天性之一。

要爱惜青春，越是珍惜青春，越是要面对现实，根据自己的能力和努力，愉快而有尊严的生活。走适合自己的成功之路。

From the perspective of a successful woman, who started her own business, Ms. Huang has some words to impart to girls:

Girls should have confidence in themselves.

Being happy and positive is part of the noble nature of girls.

Cherish your youth.  The more we treasure our youth, the more we use our time well to live a happy and dignified life based on our abilities and efforts. That is the road to success.

黄鹤表示她非常欣赏并支持我们VSFS小组的工作。被问及其对平民外交家的理解，黄鹤认为这是一个新颖和意义重大的概念，拉动了中国对世界的展示，也拉动了世界对中国的了解。

Ms. Huang said that she appreciates and supports the work of our VSFS team very much. When I asked about her understanding of Everyday Diplomats, Ms. Huang said that this is a new and significant concept; it will affect the image of China as well as the world's understanding of China. To her, public service activities is a kind of classroom, in which you can build character and purify souls
