Are you satisfied with the environment around you... The United States has made significant progress in dealing with some environmental threats, such as some point source pollution of water, but many problems persist (such as pollution from agriculture, including from Concentrated Agricultural Factory Operations) and new ones constantly emerge.  The lack of adequate global responses to biodiversity loss, climate change, ocean over-exploitation, and water scarcity are particularly troubling.  Many, perhaps most, people have not yet realized that the environment is the true infrastructure of society.  The price of a healthy planet is eternal vigilance, and human society needs to be reminded constantly of these facts.

If not, what steps are you willing to take to improve  it...  I spend my professional life working to protect human health and the environment and achieve a just society.  In terms of my personal life, I am considerably less successful than I would like in reducing my impact on the earth.
